  • the architecture is a mix of raw off shutter conrete and earthy materials combined with dramatic window elements
  • the only way to get access to the site, was to carve the lower levels of the house into the solid rock and  bridge the house in order to connect it to the living areas on the upper level
  • to stablilize the rock and still have the visual effect of it, the rock was covered with a steel mesh – in the back the steel frame of the lift shaft was extended to tie the house ‘down’
  • each level of the house has a balcony with a panoramic view over the city
  • a timber edge provides a soft natural finish to the glossy white kithcen ovenr which a interesting pendents hang from a bulkhead
  • a 1200 high wall serves as a separating plane between the main bedroom and the adjacent open plan bathroom in order to reinforce the individuality of the different functions
  • a sculptural light fitting is suspended in a  7 meter high entrance volume
  • Monochromatic palette of materials throughout the house was selected to ensure a balance and contrast between slick, modern elements and a soft natural feel of the wood and rock facaade
